A friend and co-worker, we’ll call him Paul (because that’s his name and he won’t care), recently went on a little out-of-state trip.  Paul really enjoys food and isn’t afraid to say so.  As a matter of fact, Paul not only is proud of the intake process, he’s also a big fan of the output process.  He’s also very passionate about finding new and exciting life-changing products.  Not one to keep these things to himself, he felt compelled to email a few friends about all these things, and I for one found it wildly entertaining.

So, with his permission, I give you…  ”This Stuff Is Amazing”:

We like to eat.
Sometimes we eat too much. As was the case with my trip last weekend. It coulda been one of the following all of which were consumed over the course of the weekend:

(In no particular order)
Barky’s Stuffed Jalapenos (filled with smoky chicken and cheese)
Daddy’s Smokin Tailpipes (Brisket, onion, corn, jalapeno and peppers wrapped up tight then deep fried) Holy shit were these good
Chicken fried steak smothered in gravy with a mountain of fries doused in ketchup
Fried chicken
Potato salad
Some kinda corn-cream cheese side dish thing
Rolls
Lotsa Dr Pepper (w/ Vanilla when I got it from Sonic)
Burger from Sonic
Fries from Sonic
9 oz. Sirloin
Salad w/ ranch
Omlette with spinach and goat cheese
A rather large amount of beer
A red-draw
And more that I can’t even remember

Side-dish, err … note:
Check out the description of the jalepeno’ poppers or the ‘tailpipes’ – from a place called “Bone Daddy’s” (Kinda like a Hooters that makes BBQ)

Guys the ‘Tailpipes’ were amazing.

Okay where was I …
Monday night we went to a steakhouse (Texas Roadhouse) I got a sirloin, steak, mushrooms, etc. ate and was just fine.

That night it all caught up with me. I swear I maybe got 2 hours of sleep my stomach was killing me – nauseous, etc. Huge drop at 3 a.m. that helped a little but I was a mess.

It held on into Tuesday morning – the morning of the 3 1/2 hour ride to Austin.
Still feeling like dumping the weekend onto the pavement – I pulled into a Wal-Mart (what better place to puke in the parking lot?) about 25 minutes south of Dallas and I bought this stuff:

Ate two of them.
Made me right to get an Egg McMuffin (needed something at this point)

Stopped at Cracker Barrel for a drop. Went fine.

Ate one more Pepto-tablet.

Got to Austin and was good enough to down a full (small, but full) burrito from Freebirds. I couldn’t NOT get one.

These ‘insta-cool-Pepto-tablets’ — I will keep a bottle of them with me at all times from now on. They’re amazing.
